While we’re many, many years from seeing highly intelligent robots patrol city streets, we can at least imagine it in the freshly released trailer for “RoboCop.” Joel Kinnaman takes on the role of RoboCop, which also stars familiar names such as Abbie Cornish, Gary Oldman, Michael Keaton, Samuel L. Jackson, Jackie Earle Haley, Michael K. Williams, Jay Baruchel, Jennifer Ehle, and Marianne Jean-Baptiste.
The action takes place in Detroit around
the year 2028, and as evidenced in the trailer, the film will deliver some impressive futuristic visuals of how life could look fifteen years from now. Here’s the official synopsis for “RoboCop” from Sony Pictures:
